WE ARE ALL CANDLES

I always believe that being created in the Divine’s image and likeness; we are all called to be candles to one another. We all possess that moral obligation to serve as the light and guide so others may see, most especially those who are submerge in darkness and immoralities. It is indeed a noble mission but it is sad to know that only few are willing to take the challenge, because part of the mission is the readiness to melt down like candles. In simple terms it is to accept much sacrifices and possible rejections from the society which is very much influenced by commercialism and individuality. In my many years of working for the reformation of society and government, I always see the problem in the fact that only few would want to be involved. We have already developed the culture of amorality. A wrong thing that is commonly practiced becomes acceptable and worse becomes the right thing. If I may visualize our situation, we are engulfed with so much darkness and most of us are afraid of it. More so we are afraid to become the light to destroy darkness and so we choose to become part of it. Most of the times we curse the many things happening around us, but we are not willing to do something to stop it. It is like we are cursing darkness and yet we are darkness ourselves. I am calling for everyone to take the stand and act as candles in the midst of darkness.
